From downtown Lowell, walk to the nearest bus stop on Merrimack Street. Take the Lowell Regional Transit Authority (LRTA) bus route 16 towards the Alewife Station. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at Bedford Street and Massachusetts Avenue. From there, walk down Bedford Street for about 5 minutes until you reach Buckman Tavern at 1 Bedford St, Lexington, MA 02420.
Train
Head to the Lowell Station located at 20 Thorndike Street. Take the MBTA Commuter Rail on the Lowell Line towards North Station in Boston. Get off at the Alewife Station after approximately 35 minutes. From Alewife, you can either take a local bus or a taxi to reach Buckman Tavern at 1 Bedford St, Lexington, MA 02420, which is about 15 minutes away by car.
Bicycle
If you are comfortable biking, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-share stations in Lowell. From downtown Lowell, head south on Dutton Street, then take a right onto Route 3A. Continue on Route 3A for about 6 miles, following the bike lanes. This route will take you through scenic areas until you reach Lexington. Buckman Tavern will be on your left at 1 Bedford St, Lexington, MA 02420.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, it is a longer journey but doable. Start at the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center at 246 Market Street. Walk west on Market Street and then turn south onto Dutton Street. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Route 3A. Follow Route 3A for approximately 4 miles, then turn left onto Bedford Street. Buckman Tavern will be about a half-mile down Bedford Street on your left at 1 Bedford St, Lexington, MA 02420.
