Public Transit - Bus
Start at the Lowell Transportation Center located at 45 E Merrimack St, Lowell, MA. Take the MBTA bus route 350 towards Alewife Station. After about 45 minutes, get off at Alewife Station. From there, transfer to the Alewife subway station and take the Red Line towards Ashmont. Change at Park Street to the Green Line (C or D branch) towards Kenmore. Get off at the Hynes Convention Center stop. Walk south on Boylston St towards the Charles River, and follow the signs to the Esplanade.

Public Transit - Train and Subway
From the Lowell Station at 20 Thorndike St, Lowell, take the MBTA commuter rail (Lowell Line) towards North Station in Boston. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at North Station, exit and walk to the Haymarket subway station. Take the Green Line (C branch) towards Cleveland Circle. Get off at the Hynes Convention Center stop. Walk south on Boylston St towards the Charles River, following the signs to the Esplanade.

If you happen to be at the Tsongas Center, you can walk to the Charles River Esplanade. Head south on Dutton St, then turn left onto Merrimack St. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with the Charles River. The Esplanade will be to your right. It’s about a 25-minute walk.
