Walking
If you are in downtown Lowell, head towards the Lowell Connector and find a nearby bus stop for the MBTA bus service. Take the bus towards Boston, which typically runs every 30 minutes. Upon arriving at South Station in Boston, exit the bus and walk towards Atlantic Avenue. Follow Atlantic Avenue until you reach the intersection with Summer Street. From there, head towards Washington Street and continue until you see the signs for the Public Garden on your left. It should take about 10-15 minutes to walk from South Station to the Public Garden.
Public Transit
From any location in Lowell, make your way to the nearest bus stop that services the MBTA. Board a bus heading to Boston, which will take you directly to South Station. Once at South Station, follow the signs to the subway and take the Red Line towards Alewife. Get off at Park Street Station. After exiting the station, follow the signs to the Public Garden, which is just a short 5-minute walk. Follow the signs and you will arrive at the entrance of the Public Garden.
Biking
For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike at one of the local rental shops in Lowell. Make your way towards the Lowell Connector and follow the bike lanes leading to the bike path that connects to the paths heading towards Boston. Keep following the designated bike routes towards Boston Common. Once you reach Boston, follow the path around the Common until you see the entrance for the Public Garden. Ensure to park your bike at the designated bike racks near the entrance.
