    Start at the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center located at 246 Market Street in Lowell. Head south on Market Street towards Central Street. Turn left onto Central Street and walk until you reach Merrimack Street. Turn right onto Merrimack Street and continue walking until you reach the Gallagher Terminal. From there, catch the MBTA Commuter Rail towards Boston. Once you arrive at North Station in Boston, exit the station and walk to the Haymarket Station on the Green Line. Take the Green Line (C or E trains) towards the Park Street Station. At Park Street, transfer to the Red Line towards Ashmont/Braintree and get off at the Downtown Crossing stop. Finally, walk towards Washington Street, and then turn left onto Charles Street. The Swan Boats will be on your right at 4 Charles Street.

    From the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center at 246 Market Street, walk to the nearest bus stop for the LRTA bus that goes to the Lowell Commuter Rail Station. Take the bus to the station and board the MBTA Commuter Rail towards Boston. Get off at North Station. Once at North Station, walk to Haymarket Station and board the Green Line towards Park Street. At Park Street, transfer to the Red Line heading towards Ashmont/Braintree and get off at Downtown Crossing. From there, walk towards Washington Street and turn left onto Charles Street.
