Getting There
Walking
Start at the intersection of Merrimack Street and Market Street in Lowell. Head east on Merrimack Street towards the intersection with Dutton Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Lawrence Street. Turn right onto Lawrence Street and walk for about 0.5 miles. You will then reach the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center. From there, take the bus route 89 towards Billerica. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the Bunker Hill neighborhood in Boston. Alight at the stop closest to Monument Square.
Bus
Begin your journey at the Lowell Transit Center, located at 200 East Merrimack Street. Board the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) bus route 350 towards Alewife. After approximately 30 minutes, transfer at Alewife station to the Alewife subway line (Red Line). Travel towards Ashmont, and after about 20 minutes, transfer to the Bunker Hill Community College stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Monument Square located in Boston, MA 02129.
Train
From the Lowell train station, take the MBTA commuter rail on the Lowell Line towards Boston. The ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at North Station in Boston, exit the station and walk towards the Green Line (C or E branch) at Haymarket station. Board the train towards Heath Street. After a few stops, get off at the Bunker Hill Community College station. Walk for about 15 minutes, and you will arrive at Monument Square.
