Getting There

• Bus

  From Oak Bluffs, head to the bus stop located on the corner of Circuit Avenue and Kennebec Avenue. Board the 'Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority' bus (Route 1) heading towards Hyannis. Ask the driver for a stop at Sandwich. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Sandwich, walk to Water Street, which is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the several rental shops in Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven. Follow the road signs towards the ferry terminal and cross to Cape Cod via the ferry. Once on Cape Cod, follow Route 6A West towards Sandwich. It's about a 10-mile ride, which should take roughly 45-60 minutes. Once you reach the town of Sandwich, turn onto Water Street, and the Dexter Grist Mill will be on your left.

• Walking

  If you are staying in Sandwich, you can take a leisurely walk. Starting from the Sandwich Village Green, walk south on Main Street. Continue straight until you reach Water Street, then turn left. The Dexter Grist Mill will be located at 2 Water Street, just a short 10-minute walk from the village center.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can use a taxi or rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply request a ride to '2 Water St, Sandwich, MA 02563.' The driver will take you directly to the Dexter Grist Mill. The ride from areas like Hyannis or Barnstable will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
