Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car within Merrimack Valley, head towards Route 3. Use the GPS or a mapping app and enter '1875 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington, MA 02420'. Take exit 29B for I-95 N towards Waltham. Continue on I-95 N for about 10 miles, then take exit 30B to merge onto MA-2 W toward Concord. After approximately 4 miles, take exit 57 for MA-4 S toward Lexington. Merge onto Massachusetts Ave and continue straight until you reach the Lexington Visitors Center on your right. Parking is available around the center, but be mindful of time limits. Note that parking may incur fees depending on the time of day.

• Public Transportation (MBTA)

  For public transportation, take the MBTA commuter rail from various locations in Merrimack Valley to the Alewife station on the Alewife/Braintree line. From Alewife Station, transfer to the 62 or 76 bus towards Lexington. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the Massachusetts Ave @ Hartwell Ave stop, and the Lexington Visitors Center will be a short walk from there. Ensure you check the MBTA schedule for bus timings as they may vary, particularly on weekends. A one-way fare for the commuter rail is around $5.00, and the bus fare is $1.70.

• Rideshare (Uber/Lyft)

  If you prefer a rideshare service, use Uber or Lyft for a more direct route to the Lexington Visitors Center. Simply enter the address '1875 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington, MA 02420' in the app. Depending on traffic, the ride from central Merrimack Valley will take around 30-45 minutes and may cost between $20-$35. Make sure to check the app for fare estimates and wait times before booking.
