Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Waltham, head north on Main Street towards Waverley Oaks Road. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Waverley Oaks Road. Turn right onto Waverley Oaks Road and walk for another 0.3 miles. Look for signs directing you to the Shady's Pond area, which will be on your left. Follow the pathway leading into the Conservation Area.

• Public Transit (Bus)

  Depending on your location in Waltham, you can take the 553 or 554 bus from various stops around the city. Get on the bus at a nearby stop and ride towards the North Waltham area. Disembark at the stop closest to Waverley Oaks Road. From there, walk about 0.3 miles north along Waverley Oaks Road. Look for signs directing you to Shady's Pond Conservation Area, which will be on your left. Follow the pathway leading into the Conservation Area.

• Bicycling

  If you prefer to bike, start from Waltham Common and head north on Main Street, then take a left onto Waverley Oaks Road. Continue biking for about 0.5 miles. You will see signs for Shady's Pond on your left. There are bike racks available near the entrance of the Conservation Area.
