    If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto I-93 S from your current location in Middlesex County. Follow I-93 S for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 20 toward South Station/Chinatown, keeping in mind to stay in the right lane. Merge onto Surface Rd and continue for about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto Atlantic Ave, then take a right onto Central Wharf. The New England Aquarium will be on your right at 1 Central Wharf, Boston, MA 02110. There is parking available nearby, but it can fill up quickly, so plan accordingly.

  • Public Transportation

    For public transportation, you can take the MBTA commuter rail from various locations in Middlesex County to Boston. If you are near a train station, catch the commuter rail to South Station. Once you arrive at South Station, exit the station and walk to the 'Red Line' subway entrance. Take the 'Red Line' train toward Alewife and get off at 'Downtown Crossing' station. From there, transfer to the 'Orange Line' toward North Station and get off at 'Haymarket' station. Exit the station and walk towards the waterfront, following signs for the New England Aquarium. It will be located at 1 Central Wharf, Boston, MA 02110, about a 15-minute walk from Haymarket station.
