You can catch the Route 1 bus towards the New Bedford Airport. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Airport stop. From there, transfer to the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) bus service. Take the Route 1 bus heading towards Sandwich. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Sandwich, then walk approximately 10 minutes east on Ed Moffitt Dr until you reach the Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center at 60 Ed Moffitt Dr.

    If you're already near downtown New Bedford, you can walk to the GNBRT bus terminal, which is located at 134 Elm St. From there, take the Route 1 bus towards New Bedford Airport. After arriving at the Airport stop, transfer to the CCRTA Route 1 bus towards Sandwich. Once you arrive in Sandwich, you can walk east along Ed Moffitt Dr for about 10 minutes until you reach the Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center.
