Walking
Start at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, located at 18 Johnny Cake Hill. From the museum, head north on Johnny Cake Hill towards Union Street. Turn left onto Union Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Purchase Street. Continue straight to merge onto Route 18. Follow Route 18 for about 1 mile until you reach the exit for I-195 East. Take the exit and continue on I-195 East towards Providence. After approximately 15 miles, take Exit 1 for US-1 South toward Newport. Continue on US-1 South for about 20 miles, then take the exit for RI-138 East. Follow RI-138 East for 4 miles, and then merge onto RI-24 South. Continue for about 8 miles, then take the exit towards Newport. Follow the signs to Newport, and you will arrive at America's Cup Ave. Cardines Field is located at 20 America's Cup Ave.
Public Transit
From the New Bedford Bus Terminal, take the Peter Pan Bus Lines service towards Boston. This bus will take you to Providence, RI. Once in Providence, transfer to the RIPTA bus service and take Route 60 towards Newport. The bus will take you directly to the center of Newport. Get off at the stop closest to America's Cup Ave. Walk approximately 10 minutes to Cardines Field at 20 America's Cup Ave.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in New Bedford. Start from the waterfront area and head north to the path that leads to the East Bay Bike Path. Follow the path along the water for about 15 miles, enjoying scenic views of the bay. When you reach Bristol, continue on the bike path until it ends. From there, follow the signs to Route 114, which will take you into Newport. Once in Newport, navigate towards America's Cup Ave, where Cardines Field is located at 20 America's Cup Ave.
