Take the GATRA bus route that heads towards Sandwich. You will likely need to transfer at the Bourne Bridge. Once you reach the Sandwich stop, disembark and head east on Water Street. The Dexter Grist Mill will be on your right.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle in New Bedford. Start by heading to the bike path that leads out of the city towards the Cape Cod Canal. Follow the bike path until you reach Sandwich. Once in Sandwich, navigate towards Water Street, and you will find the Dexter Grist Mill at 2 Water St on your left.
Walking
Walking from New Bedford to the Dexter Grist Mill is quite a trek, but if you're up for it, start at the New Bedford City Hall. Head north on Pleasant Street until you reach the waterfront. Follow the waterfront path until you reach the Bourne Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue onto Sandwich Road. Keep walking until you reach Water Street, where you will find the Mill at 2 Water St.
