Car
If you're driving, head towards Salem, MA. From Route 128, take exit 25B for US-1A N toward Salem. Continue on US-1A N until you reach downtown Salem. Once you arrive, look for signs directing you to N Washington Square. The park is located in the heart of Salem and there are several parking lots nearby. A good option is the South Harbor Garage at 2 New Liberty Street, Salem, MA 01970, just a short walk from Salem Common.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take the MBTA commuter rail to Salem Station. From Boston, board the Newburyport/Rockport Line and get off at Salem Station. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk north on Washington Street. Continue walking until you reach N Washington Square, which will be on your left. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes.
Walking
If you are already in downtown Salem, simply head towards the center of the city where you will find N Washington Square. Look for the intersection of Washington Street and Essex Street. Salem Common is directly in front of you as you approach this intersection. It's an easy walk, and you'll enjoy the sights along the way.
