Salem Common is located at North Washington Square, Salem, MA 01970. There are parking lots available nearby, but be aware that some may charge a fee, typically around $1 to $2 per hour.

    To reach Salem Common by public transportation, take the MBTA Commuter Rail from Boston’s North Station on the Newburyport/Rockport Line. Get off at Salem Station. From the station, it's about a 10-minute walk to Salem Common. Head south on Washington Street, then turn right onto North Washington Square. The Common will be on your left. Note that the fare from Boston to Salem is approximately $8.00 one-way.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    If you're near a bus stop, you can take the MBTA bus route 450, 451, or 455 that goes to Salem. Disembark at the stop closest to Washington Square. From there, it is just a short walk to Salem Common at North Washington Square. The fare for the bus is $1.70.
