Walking
If you are in downtown Provincetown, start by heading towards Commercial Street. Walk along Commercial Street towards the north until you reach the intersection with Standish Street. Turn left onto Standish Street and continue walking until you reach the end of the street. You will arrive at the Provincetown Bus Terminal. From there, take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority bus towards Sandwich. The bus will take you to Sandwich, which is approximately 20 miles away. Once you arrive at the Sandwich stop, follow the signs to the Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center located at 60 Ed Moffitt Dr, just a short walk from the bus stop.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Provincetown. Once you have your bike, head out of downtown towards Commercial Street and follow it to the intersection with Standish Street. Turn left onto Standish Street and continue until you reach the Provincetown Bus Terminal. From there, you can take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority bus to Sandwich. After arriving in Sandwich, use your bike to travel the remaining distance to the Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center, which is about 1 mile away from the bus stop on Ed Moffitt Drive. Follow the signs towards the canal, and you will arrive at your destination.
Public Transit
To get to the Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center using public transit, start at the nearest bus stop in Provincetown, such as the one on Commercial Street. Board the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority bus heading towards Sandwich. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Sandwich, disembark and walk towards 60 Ed Moffitt Dr. The Visitor Center is located near the canal and is easily accessible by foot from the bus stop. Look for directional signage to guide you to the center.
