Walking
From the center of Provincetown, head east on Commercial Street towards the Town Hall. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Bradford Street. Turn left onto Bradford Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 6. Cross Route 6 carefully and follow the signs for the Provincetown Shuttle, which will take you towards Sandwich. Once on the shuttle, you will need to ride it until you reach the Sandwich stop. After getting off the shuttle, walk towards Water Street. The Dexter Grist Mill is located at 2 Water St, just a short walk from the shuttle stop.
Biking
If you have access to a bike, start from Commercial Street in Provincetown and head east towards Bradford Street. Turn left onto Bradford Street and continue straight. Follow the signs to Route 6, where you will find a bike path. Take the bike path towards Sandwich. After approximately 10 miles, look for the exit signs directing you to Sandwich. Once in the town, follow local signage to find Water Street, where the Dexter Grist Mill is located at 2 Water St.
Public Transport
From the center of Provincetown, walk to the main bus station located on Shankpainter Road. Board the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) bus heading towards Sandwich. Make sure to check the schedule in advance for departure times. After about a 30-minute ride, you will arrive at the Sandwich stop. From there, it’s a short walk to Water Street. Head towards the water and follow the street signs to 2 Water St, where the Dexter Grist Mill is located.
