Getting There

Walking
From the center of Provincetown, head east on Commercial Street toward Winslow Street. Continue straight on Commercial Street until you reach the intersection with Bradford Street. Turn left onto Bradford Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Route 6. Cross Route 6 carefully and continue straight onto the paved path leading into the Cape Cod National Seashore. Follow the path, which will lead you toward Highland Lighthouse. This walk is approximately 2.5 miles and may take around 45 minutes at a leisurely pace.

If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Provincetown. Start from the center of Provincetown and head east on Commercial Street toward Winslow Street. Turn left onto Bradford Street and follow it until you reach Route 6. Carefully cross Route 6 and continue straight onto the paved bike path. Follow the signs for the Cape Cod National Seashore, which will guide you to Highland Lighthouse. The bike ride is approximately 2.5 miles and should take about 15-20 minutes.

To reach Highland Lighthouse via public transportation, take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) bus from Provincetown. Board the bus at the nearest stop along Commercial Street. Make sure to check the schedule for the 'Outer Cape' route that travels toward Truro. Inform the driver you would like to get off at the Highland Light stop. From there, it is a short walk (about 10-15 minutes) to the lighthouse along Highland Light Road.
