Getting There

• Walking

  Start your journey at the center of Provincetown, at the intersection of Commercial Street and Bradford Street. Head north on Bradford Street until you reach the intersection with Standish Street. Turn left onto Standish Street and continue until you hit the intersection with Route 6. Cross Route 6 carefully, using the crosswalk. After crossing, you'll find the entrance to the Cape Cod National Seashore, which leads you towards the Dune Shacks Trail. Follow the signs for Dune Shacks Trail, which will guide you through the scenic sand dunes.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, begin at the center of Provincetown, at the intersection of Commercial Street and Bradford Street. Rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. Cycle north on Bradford Street, then take a left onto Standish Street. Continue straight until you reach Route 6. Safely cross Route 6 and enter the Cape Cod National Seashore entrance. There are bike paths that will lead you directly to the Dune Shacks Trail. Enjoy the ride as you navigate through beautiful landscapes.

  From the center of Provincetown, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Commercial Street. Take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority bus that heads towards Truro. Inform the driver that you want to stop at the nearest access point for Dune Shacks Trail. Once you get off, follow the marked walking paths that lead to the Dune Shacks Trail entrance. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for accurate timings.
