  If you are in downtown Quincy, start by heading northwest on Hancock Street towards the Quincy Center station. Once you reach the station, follow the signs to take the MBTA Red Line train towards Alewife. After about 15 minutes, get off at the Park Street station in Boston. From Park Street, transfer to the Orange Line train heading towards Oak Grove. Travel for about 20 minutes and get off at the Haymarket station. Walk towards the North End and catch the 450 bus towards Salem at the nearest bus stop. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach Salem. Once you arrive in Salem, walk south on Essex Street for about 5 minutes, and you will find the Historic Gardner-Pingree House at 128 Essex St.
