Car
From anywhere in Suffolk County, drive to Boston. Use I-93 N if coming from the south or I-90 E if coming from the west. Once in Boston, follow signs for the Waterfront. Park at one of the parking lots near the Boston Harbor, such as the Rowes Wharf Parking Garage (costs approximately $20 for the day). After parking, walk to the Long Wharf, where you can catch a ferry to Georges Island. Make sure to check the ferry schedule in advance at https://www.bostonharborislands.org/georges-island/. The ferry ride takes about 20-30 minutes.
Public Transportation
Take the MBTA subway (the 'T') to Government Center Station on the Green Line, or to Aquarium Station on the Blue Line. From either station, it’s a short walk to Long Wharf. Once at Long Wharf, you can catch a ferry to Georges Island. Be sure to check the ferry schedule and purchase your tickets ahead of time at https://www.bostonharborislands.org/georges-island/. The ferry ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. The cost for the ferry is around $20 for a round trip.
