Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Gloucester Visitor Center located at 24 Harbor Loop, head southeast on Harbor Loop toward Washington Street. After about 0.2 miles, turn left onto Washington Street and continue for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn right onto Main Street and follow it as it becomes Western Avenue. Continue walking for about 1.5 miles until you reach the Gloucester Train Station. From there, you can take the MBTA Commuter Rail to Boston. Once you arrive at North Station in Boston, exit the station and head south on Causeway Street toward the entrance of the Haymarket subway station. Take the Green Line (C or D branches) towards Government Center and transfer to the Red Line at Park Street. Take the Red Line towards Ashmont and disembark at Downtown Crossing. Finally, exit the station and walk toward Washington Street, which will lead you to Beacon Hill. Louisburg Square is located at 42.3584504 latitude and -71.0686154 longitude.

  From the Gloucester Visitor Center at 24 Harbor Loop, walk to the nearest bus stop located at 1 Main Street. Board the Cape Ann Transportation Authority (CATA) bus Route 1 heading toward the Gloucester Train Station. The bus ride is approximately 10 minutes. After arriving at the train station, purchase your ticket for the MBTA Commuter Rail to Boston. The train ride will take about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at North Station in Boston, follow the signs to the Haymarket subway station. Take the Green Line (C or D branches) towards Government Center and transfer to the Red Line at Park Street. Take the Red Line towards Ashmont and disembark at Downtown Crossing. Walk toward Washington Street; Louisburg Square will be in the Beacon Hill neighborhood, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the subway station.
