Getting There

Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Wachusett Mountain Ski Area. Head northeast on Mountain Rd toward MA-140 N. Continue on MA-140 N for about 1.5 miles. Turn right onto MA-2 W and continue for approximately 10 miles. Take exit 24 for MA-31 toward Princeton. Merge onto MA-31 N and follow it for about 4 miles until you reach the entrance to Mount Wachusett State Reservation. There is a parking fee of about $5, so have cash available.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Wachusett Mountain Ski Area to the nearest bus station, which is in Fitchburg. From there, board the MBTA bus route 14 towards Westminster. Get off at the stop on MA-31, then walk north for about 1 mile to reach the entrance of Mount Wachusett State Reservation. Be aware that the bus fare may vary, and check the schedule in advance as services may be limited, especially on weekends.
