Public Transit - Bus
From Waltham, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Main Street. Take the #70 or #70A bus towards Alewife Station. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach Alewife Station. From there, transfer to the Alewife subway station and take the Red Line towards Ashmont. After about 15 minutes, get off at Park Street Station. Finally, transfer to the Green Line 'C' train towards Heath Street and disembark at the Hynes Convention Center stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Back Bay.
Public Transit - Train
Make your way to the Waltham train station, which is located at 25 Crescent St. Take the MBTA Commuter Rail on the Fitchburg Line towards South Station. After approximately 30 minutes, arrive at South Station. From there, transfer to the Red Line towards Alewife and get off at Park Street Station. At Park Street, switch to the Green Line 'C' train towards Heath Street and get off at the Hynes Convention Center stop. Back Bay will be a short walk from there.
Walking
If you are in central Waltham, you can walk to Back Bay, which is about 3 miles away. Start by heading south on Main Street, then turn left onto Charles Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Newton Street, then turn right. Follow Newton Street until it merges with Route 128, which you will cross at the pedestrian crossing. Continue straight along the path and follow the signs for Back Bay. It will take approximately 45-60 minutes to walk there.
