Public Transit - Bus
From Waltham, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main Street. Catch the #70 bus towards Alewife Station. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes and get off at the Alewife Station. From there, transfer to the Alewife to Ashmont train service (Red Line) and travel towards Ashmont. Get off at the South Station stop. Once at South Station, follow signs to the Silver Line (SL1) towards Logan Airport. You will get off at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center stop. From there, it is a short walk to Boston Wharf Rd, where the Boston Harborwalk is located.
Public Transit - Train
Start at Waltham's commuter rail station, Waltham Station. Take the Fitchburg Line towards South Acton. After about 15 minutes, transfer at the North Station to the Orange Line (Haymarket). Ride the Orange Line train towards Forest Hills and get off at Haymarket Station. From Haymarket, walk towards Government Center and transfer to the Green Line (C or E trains) towards Lechmere. Get off at the Park Street Station and transfer to the Red Line towards Ashmont. Ride the Red Line until you reach South Station. Finally, from South Station, you can walk to the Boston Harborwalk located at Boston Wharf Rd.
Walking
If you are already in central Waltham, you can take a scenic walk to the Waltham Commuter Rail Station. From there, catch the Fitchburg Line to North Station. Once at North Station, follow signs to Haymarket and then proceed to the Green Line (C or E trains) towards the Government Center. From Government Center, make your way to the Park Street Station and switch to the Red Line towards Ashmont. Disembark at South Station and walk to Boston Wharf Rd, where you will find the Boston Harborwalk.
