Getting There

Public Transport - Bus
From Waltham, head to the nearest bus stop for the MBTA bus service. You can take the 70 or 70A bus towards Alewife. Make sure to board the bus at the Waltham Station. Ride the bus until you reach Alewife Station, then transfer to the Alewife subway station. Take the Red Line inbound towards Ashmont/Braintree and get off at Park Street. From Park Street, transfer to the Green Line (any trolley) and travel to the Government Center station. Finally, exit the station and walk towards Storrow Dr, heading east until you reach the Charles River Esplanade.

Public Transport - Train and Subway
Start your journey by walking to the Waltham MBTA Train Station. Board the Fitchburg Line train heading towards North Station. Once you arrive at North Station, exit the train and follow the signs to the Green Line subway. Board the Green Line (any trolley) towards Government Center. After a few stops, get off at Government Center and transfer to the Orange Line. Take the Orange Line towards Haymarket and get off at Haymarket Station. From there, walk east towards Storrow Dr until you arrive at the Charles River Esplanade.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, you can start your journey from central Waltham. Walk towards Main St and follow it until it becomes Waverley Oaks Rd. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 128. Cross the road carefully and follow the path that leads to the Charles River. You will eventually arrive at Storrow Dr. Continue walking alongside the river until you reach the Charles River Esplanade.
