To get to Downtown Crossing in Boston from Waltham, start by walking to the nearest bus stop. You can take the 70 or 70A bus from Waltham's Main Street. Board the bus heading towards Alewife Station. Stay on the bus until you reach Alewife Station. Once you arrive at Alewife, transfer to the Red Line subway. Take the train towards Ashmont/Braintree and get off at Downtown Crossing station. Exit the station, and you will find yourself in Downtown Crossing.

From Waltham, head to the Waltham MBTA train station located at 75 Crescent Street. Board the Fitchburg Line train headed towards Boston. Stay on the train until you reach the North Station. Once at North Station, follow the signs to the Green Line and take the Green Line train towards Park Street. Get off at Park Street Station, then transfer to the Red Line towards Ashmont/Braintree. Get off at Downtown Crossing station. Exit the station, and you'll be right in Downtown Crossing.
