    From Waltham, head to the Waltham MBTA station located at 175 Forest Street. Take the Commuter Rail on the Fitchburg Line towards North Station in Boston. Once you arrive at North Station, transfer to the Orange Line and take the train towards Oak Grove. Get off at Haymarket Station. From Haymarket, exit the station and head towards the Charlestown Bridge. You will need to walk for about 10 minutes to reach the ferry terminal at the end of Long Wharf, where you can catch a ferry to Salem. The ferry ride will get you to Salem, and from there, you can take a taxi or rideshare to Misery Islands, which is approximately 10 minutes away.

    Walking and Public Transportation

    Starting from the center of Waltham, walk to the nearest bus stop for the #70 or #70A bus on Main Street. Take the bus towards Alewife Station. At Alewife, transfer to the Alewife subway station and take the Alewife-bound train on the Red Line towards Ashmont. Get off at Park Street Station and transfer to the Green Line towards Government Center. Get off at Haymarket Station, and walk to Long Wharf to catch the ferry to Salem. After arriving in Salem, take a taxi or rideshare to reach Misery Islands.
