From there, disembark and walk east on Essex St. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach Chestnut St. Turn left onto Chestnut St, and after a short walk, you will find the Phillips House on your right.
Train
Begin your journey by walking to the Waltham Train Station. Once at the station, take the MBTA commuter rail on the Fitchburg Line towards North Station in Boston. Ride for about 30 minutes, then disembark at the Salem station. From the Salem station, walk northeast on Washington St for about 0.3 miles until you reach Essex St. Turn right on Essex St and follow it for approximately 0.5 miles. Turn left onto Chestnut St and continue for a short distance until you arrive at Phillips House, which will be located on your right.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing programs available in Waltham. Start from the center of Waltham and head towards Riverwalk Park following the Charles River. Ride along the river path until you reach the intersection with Main St. Turn right onto Main St and continue to follow it as it becomes Washington St. Continue on Washington St until it intersects with Essex St in Salem. Turn left onto Essex St and follow it for about 0.5 miles. Finally, turn left onto Chestnut St, and Phillips House will be on your right.

Start from the Waltham Common area and head towards Main St. Walk along Main St heading towards Salem St. Follow Salem St until you reach Washington St, then continue onto Essex St. Walk for about 1.5 miles, enjoying the local scenery. Once you reach Chestnut St, turn left and walk until you see Phillips House on your right.
