Bus
From downtown Waltham, walk to the Waltham MBTA bus stop at Main St @ Moody St. Take the 70 or 70A bus towards Alewife Station. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach Alewife Station. From Alewife, transfer to the Alewife subway line (Red Line) towards Ashmont/Braintree. Travel towards Park Street Station and get off at Park Street. At Park Street, transfer to the Green Line (C or D branches) towards Riverside or Government Center. Get off at Kenmore Station and walk to the Kenmore Square bus terminal. Here, catch the 47 bus towards Alewife. Get off at the stop at Vassar St @ Albany St, and walk to Stata Center located at 32 Vassar St, Cambridge, MA 02139, which is just a short block away.
Train
From Waltham, head to the Waltham MBTA train station and take the Fitchburg Line train towards North Station. Ride for about 25 minutes and get off at the North Station. From there, walk to the Haymarket subway station and take the Green Line (C or D branches) towards Kenmore. Get off at Kenmore Station and walk to the Kenmore Square bus terminal. At the terminal, catch the 47 bus towards Alewife. Get off at the stop at Vassar St @ Albany St, and Stata Center is just a short walk from there, located at 32 Vassar St, Cambridge, MA 02139.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Waltham. Head towards the Charles River Greenway bike path and follow the path north towards Cambridge. Continue along the river until you reach the area near MIT. Once you get close to Vassar St, follow the signs to MIT.
