Car
If you're traveling by car, start by getting on I-91 N from your current location in Western Massachusetts. Follow the signs for I-91 N and merge onto the highway. Continue on I-91 N for approximately 10 miles. Take exit 7 for MA-141 E/MA-5 N toward Springfield. Keep right at the fork to continue on MA-5 N. After about 2 miles, turn right onto Armory St. Van Horn Park will be on your right at 494 Armory St, Springfield, MA 01104. There is free parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take the PVTA (Pioneer Valley Transit Authority) bus service. First, head to the nearest bus stop for bus routes serving your area. You can check the PVTA website for specific routes and schedules. Look for the bus that goes to Springfield, and take a bus that stops near Armory St. Your stop will be close to Van Horn Park. Make sure to have $1.50 for the bus fare, or $3 if you’re taking a round trip. Once you get off, walk a short distance to reach the park at 494 Armory St.
