After approximately 100 km, turn right onto Route N4 and continue for about 150 km until you reach the junction near the town of Ouadane. From there, take the road leading towards the Richat Structure. Please note that the last stretch to the Richat Structure may be unpaved, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Ensure to have enough fuel and water, as facilities are limited in this area.
Public Transportation
Start by taking a taxi or shared van (called a 'clando') from Guidimaka to Ayoun el Atrous. Once in Ayoun el Atrous, look for another shared van heading towards Ouadane. After reaching Ouadane, you may need to hire a 4x4 taxi to take you to the Richat Structure. Be prepared for negotiation on the fare, as prices may vary depending on the driver and the number of passengers. It's advisable to arrange for a return trip, as public transport is infrequent in this region.
Guided Tour
Consider booking a guided tour from a local travel agency in Guidimaka or surrounding areas. These tours typically include transportation, a guide, and sometimes meals.
