Car
From Tichit, head northwest on Route N1. Drive for approximately 150 km until you reach the town of Atar. This part of the journey will take around 2-3 hours depending on the road conditions. In Atar, you can stop for fuel and refreshments. After that, continue on Route N1 for another 70 km towards Ouadane. Once in Ouadane, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the Richat Structure, which is located about 40 km southwest of Ouadane. You may need a 4x4 vehicle for the last leg of the journey due to rough terrain.
Public Transportation
From Tichit, take a shared taxi or a bus heading towards Atar. The fare is typically around 500 MRU (Mauritanian Ouguiya). Once you arrive in Atar, find a local transport option to Ouadane, which may include another shared taxi or bus, costing approximately 300 MRU. Upon reaching Ouadane, you will need to hire a 4x4 taxi or join a local tour group to get to the Richat Structure, which will cost around 2000 MRU for the round trip. Ensure you negotiate the price before starting the journey.
