Getting There

Walking
From the center of Chamarel, head east on the main road towards the village of Baie du Cap. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the junction with the A5 road. Turn left onto A5, and follow the road for approximately 30 minutes. When you reach the coast, look for signs indicating 'Mahebourg' and proceed towards the town. Once in Mahebourg, follow the signs for Île aux Aigrettes until you reach the ferry terminal.

Public Transport (Bus)
Start at the Chamarel bus stop located near the restaurant ‘Le Palais de Barbizon’. Take the bus heading towards Mahebourg. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Mahebourg, get off at the main bus station. From there, look for signs directing you to the ferry terminal for Île aux Aigrettes. It's a short 10-minute walk from the bus station to the terminal.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Chamarel. Start your journey by heading southeast on the main road towards Baie du Cap. After about 10 minutes, turn left onto the A5 road. Continue cycling for about 30 minutes until you reach the coastal town of Mahebourg. Follow the signs to Île aux Aigrettes, and park your bicycle at the ferry terminal before taking the ferry to the island.
