Walking
Start from the center of Chamarel village. Head south on the main road (B9) towards the direction of Black River. As you walk, you will pass by local shops and restaurants. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Coastal Road (A3). At this junction, you can see signs directing you towards Black River and the Martello Tower Museum. Turn right onto Coastal Road and continue walking for approximately 1 kilometer. The Martello Tower Museum will be on your left side, just past the intersection with the road leading to the Black River Gorges National Park.
Public Transport
From Chamarel, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the main road (B9). Catch a bus heading towards Black River (make sure to look for the bus label). The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the bus stop closest to Coastal Road. From there, it is a short 10-15 minute walk along Coastal Road. You will see the Martello Tower Museum on your left.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start at the center of Chamarel village and head south on the B9 road. Follow the same route as if you were walking, which is about 1.5 kilometers to the junction with Coastal Road (A3). Turn right onto Coastal Road and continue for about 1 kilometer. The Martello Tower Museum will be visible on your left. This route is relatively flat and suitable for cycling.
