Experience Black River Gorge

Getting There

  • Car

    From Flic en Flac Beach, head east on Avenue des Rodrigues towards the M2 highway. Merge onto the M2 highway towards Quatre Bornes. Continue on M2 for approximately 15 km, then take the exit towards the A3 road. Follow the A3 road for about 10 km until you see the signs for Black River Gorge. The gorge is located on the right side of the road. There is no entry fee required to visit the gorge.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    Start at the bus stop near Flic en Flac Beach. Take the bus heading towards Quatre Bornes (look for buses marked 'Quatre Bornes'). This journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you reach Quatre Bornes, transfer to a bus heading towards Black River or Chamarel. Make sure to confirm with the driver that the bus stops at Black River Gorge. This leg will take approximately another 20-30 minutes. After disembarking, follow the signs to the gorge which is a short walk away. The total cost for the bus ride will be around 50-70 Mauritian Rupees.
