Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Flic en Flac beach, head east towards the main road (Coastal Road). Once you reach the road, turn left and walk along the sidewalk. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route A3. At this intersection, turn right onto Route A3 and continue straight. After about 3 kilometers, you will see a sign for Grand Bassin on your left. Follow the signs leading you into the Grand Bassin area.

  • Public Bus

    Start from any central point in Flic en Flac, such as the local market. Look for the bus stop labeled 'Flic en Flac - Grand Bassin'. You can take a bus heading towards Curepipe. The bus will drop you at the Grand Bassin bus stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the lake. Just follow the signs pointing towards Grand Bassin, and you will arrive in about 5 minutes.

  • Bicycle Rental

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Flic en Flac. Once you have your bike, head east towards the main road (Coastal Road). Turn left on the Coastal Road and cycle for about 1.5 kilometers. When you reach the Route A3 intersection, turn right and continue for approximately 3 kilometers until you see the signs for Grand Bassin. Follow the signs to the lake.
