After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach Mahebourg, where you can find signs directing you to the ferry terminal for Mauritius Island. Take the road leading to the 'Île aux Serpents' ferry terminal. The ferry ride takes about 20-30 minutes and costs approximately 300 MUR per person for a round trip.
Public Transportation
To reach Mauritius Island using public transport, locate the nearest bus stop in Grand Port. Take the bus number 1 or 2 heading towards Mahebourg. The bus fare is around 30 MUR. Once you arrive in Mahebourg, make your way to the ferry terminal, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus station.
