From Ile aux Cerfs, head southwest towards the main island of Mauritius via the small bridge connecting the island to the mainland. Once on the mainland, follow the signs for A3 road towards Trou d'Eau Douce. After approximately 7 km, take a right turn onto the B59 road. Continue straight for another 5 km and you will arrive at Public Beach, Palmar, Flacq, Maurice. There is usually parking available near the beach, but be prepared to pay for parking if required.

To reach Public Beach from Ile aux Cerfs using public transport, you will first need to take a taxi boat from the island to Trou d'Eau Douce.
