Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Mahebourg, head towards the beach along Rue des Écoles. Continue walking straight until you reach the waterfront, then turn left onto the coastal path. Follow the path until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Route Cotière. Continue on this road for about 3.5 kilometers. You will see signs for Souillac. As you approach Souillac, keep an eye out for the Robert Edward Hart Memorial Museum on your left at FGGF+PRM. It is situated near the coast, so you should see the building easily.

• Local Bus

  From Mahebourg, head to the nearest local bus stop, which is located on Rue des Écoles. Look for buses heading towards Souillac. The bus fare is quite affordable, and the ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive in Souillac, ask the driver to let you off near FGGF+PRM. The Robert Edward Hart Memorial Museum is a short walk from the bus stop; simply head towards the coast, and you will see the museum ahead.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Mahebourg. Once you have your bike, head along Rue des Écoles towards the beach. After reaching the waterfront, turn left and follow the coastal path. Continue on Route Cotière for about 3.5 kilometers, and you will reach Souillac. The museum will be on your left as you approach the coastal area. Parking your bike is easy, as there are places to secure it near the museum.
