Car
From Moka, head southwest on the A1 highway towards Curepipe. Continue on A1 for approximately 8 km until you reach the intersection with Route Pamplemousses. Take the exit towards Route Pamplemousses. Follow this road for another 5 km until you reach the junction with Route Chamouny. Take a right onto Route Chamouny and continue for about 3 km. You will see signs for Sham Waterfall leading you through the Black River Gorge. The waterfall is located near the HC4R+JC Chamouny Black River Gorge area, where you can park your car.
Public Transportation
From Moka, take a bus heading towards Curepipe. Ask the driver to let you off at the Curepipe Bus Station. From there, transfer to a bus going towards Chamouny. Once you arrive in Chamouny, you may need to walk approximately 1.5 km to reach Sham Waterfall. Follow the road signs leading to the Black River Gorge, and keep an eye out for local directions. Ensure you check bus schedules, as they may vary, and anticipate waiting times.
Walking
If you are already in the Black River Gorge area after taking public transport, from the nearest bus stop, continue walking towards the signage for Sham Waterfall. The walk may take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace. The trail is moderately maintained, and you will enjoy beautiful scenic views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the trail may be uneven in some parts.
