From the center of Pamplemousses, head to the nearest bus stop located along the A2 road. Board a bus heading towards the south to the Grand Baie area. The ride should take about 30 minutes. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the Grand Bassin stop, as it is a popular destination. Once you get off the bus, follow the signs directing you towards Grand Bassin, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location in Pamplemousses. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Grand Bassin. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure to agree on a fare before starting your journey, as taxis in Mauritius do not have meters.

If you are feeling adventurous and are located near the Botanical Garden, you can walk to Grand Bassin. Start by heading east from the garden entrance towards the A2 road. Once you reach A2, turn right and walk along the road. Continue walking for about 3 kilometers until you see signs for Grand Bassin. It should take you around 40 minutes to arrive, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
