Getting There

    Starting from the Port Louis central market, head northwest on Rue Desmarches towards Rue de la République. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue du Gouvernement. Turn left onto Rue du Gouvernement and walk until you reach Place d'Armes. From there, head towards the waterfront, passing by the Aapravasi Ghat, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Once at the waterfront, look for the bus terminal. You will need to take a bus towards Vallijee. Board the bus and ask the driver to let you off at Sable Noire. Once you get off the bus, walk in the direction of the beach, which is a short distance away. Follow the signs to Sable Noire public beach.
