From the center of Poste de Flacq, head towards the coast by walking east along the main road (Royal Road). Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the beach area. Once you reach the beach, you will notice a small dock where local boats operate. Here, you can ask the boatmen for a ride to Shiv Island, which is approximately 500 meters away from the shore.

You can take a local bus from Poste de Flacq to Belle Mare. Look for a bus heading towards Belle Mare and ensure to inform the driver that you're going to Shiv Island. Upon arrival at Belle Mare, walk towards the beach where you will find boats that offer trips to Shiv Island. The distance from the bus stop to the beach is about 300 meters.

If you can rent a bicycle in Poste de Flacq, cycle towards the east along the coastal road. This route is approximately 3 kilometers long and offers beautiful views. Once you reach the beach area, lock your bicycle and head to the dock where you can catch a small boat to Shiv Island.
