You will need to turn left onto a smaller road (often marked with signs for the Colophane Trail) leading directly to the trailhead. The trailhead is located at JC2X+4WH, Chamarel. Parking is available nearby, but do check for any parking fees, which are usually around 100 MUR.

To reach Colophane Trail using public transportation, take a bus from Savanne to Chamarel. Buses are available from the main bus station in Savanne, and the fare is approximately 30 MUR. The bus ride takes around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Chamarel, you may need to walk about 1 kilometer to reach the trailhead. Follow the signs towards Chamarel Waterfall and look for additional signs pointing towards Colophane Trail. Be prepared for a slight uphill walk, and consider asking locals for directions if needed.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Savanne to Colophane Trail. This option provides more comfort and convenience, especially if you're traveling with a group. The taxi ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes and should cost around 600-800 MUR. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting the journey, and it’s advisable to ask the taxi driver to wait for you while you hike, as finding a taxi back can be challenging.
