If you are traveling by car from central Savanne, head northwest on the A2 highway. Continue on the A2 for approximately 15 kilometers. As you approach Chamarel, look for the signs directing you to Chamarel Waterfall and the Colophane Trail. You will need to turn left onto a smaller road (often marked with signs for the Colophane Trail) leading directly to the trailhead. The trailhead is located at JC2X+4WH, Chamarel. Parking is available nearby, but do check for any parking fees, which are usually around 100 MUR.

Public Transportation

To reach Colophane Trail using public transportation, take a bus from Savanne to Chamarel. Buses are available from the main bus station in Savanne, and the fare is approximately 30 MUR.
