    Start your journey in Trou aux Cerfs. Head south on the main road (B6) towards Curepipe. Continue straight for about 3 kilometers. You will pass the Curepipe Botanic Gardens on your right. After passing the botanic gardens, look for the signage indicating Midlands Dam. Turn right onto the road leading to the dam, following the signs. The dam is located approximately 3 kilometers from the turn-off. There is free parking available near the dam.

    From Trou aux Cerfs, take a local bus heading towards Curepipe. Buses are frequent and cost around MUR 20. Get off at the Curepipe bus station. From there, you can take another bus that goes towards Midlands Dam. Look for buses that have 'Midlands' or 'Dam' written on their destination board. The fare for this leg will be about MUR 15. The bus will drop you off at the entrance of Midlands Dam, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
