From Dembéni, head southwest on Route Nationale 1 (RN1) towards Mamoudzou. Continue on RN1 for approximately 10 kilometers. Once you reach Mamoudzou, follow the signs towards Grande-Terre, which is accessible via ferry. The ferry terminal is located in Mamoudzou. Expect to pay around €5 for a one-way ferry ticket. The ferry ride will take about 30 minutes to reach Grande-Terre.

Public Transportation

If you prefer public transportation, take a local bus from Dembéni to Mamoudzou. Buses typically run every hour and the fare is around €1.50. Once in Mamoudzou, head to the ferry terminal to catch the ferry to Grande-Terre. The ferry costs about €5 for a one-way ticket and takes approximately 30 minutes.

Taxi

For a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Dembéni to Mamoudzou. The taxi fare will be around €30-€40 depending on the time of day and traffic. Once you reach Mamoudzou, you will still need to take the ferry to Grande-Terre, costing €5 for the ferry ride, which lasts about 30 minutes.
