Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Mamoudzou, the main city in Mayotte. Take the D101 road heading north towards Bandrele. Continue driving for about 30 minutes, approximately 25 km. You will pass through small villages and scenic landscapes. Once you reach Bandrele, take a left onto the D2 road. Follow the D2 for about 15 km until you see signposts directing you to Beach N'Gouja. The beach is located at coordinates 23QM+5XV, Mayotte. Keep an eye out for parking signs as you approach the beach area.
Public Transportation
To reach Beach N'Gouja using public transportation, start at the main bus station in Mamoudzou. Look for a bus heading towards Bandrele. The bus journey may take around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Bandrele, you may need to take a taxi to cover the remaining distance to Beach N'Gouja, as public transport options to the beach can be limited. The taxi ride should take about 15 minutes and may cost approximately €10-€15.
Taxi
For a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from Mamoudzou directly to Beach N'Gouja. This journey will take around 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxis are readily available in Mamoudzou, and it is advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand. The cost for this trip may range from €30 to €50.
Bicycle
If you are feeling adventurous and want to experience the local scenery, you can rent a bicycle in Mamoudzou and cycle to Beach N'Gouja. The ride is approximately 40 km and can take around 2 hours. Start on the D101 road and follow the same route as if driving. Make sure to wear appropriate safety gear and be cautious on the road.
