Walking
From the center of Mamoudzou, head towards the waterfront area near the Place de la République. Once you reach the waterfront, follow the path that leads south along the coast. Keep walking until you reach the main road, Rue de l'Indépendance. Turn left onto Rue de l'Indépendance and continue straight. You will pass by several local shops and eateries. Stay on this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route de Mtsamboro. Turn right onto Route de Mtsamboro. Continue walking along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. As you approach Mtsamboro, you will see signs for Plage du Préfet. Follow the signs and after a short walk, you will arrive at the beach.

Public Transport
From Mamoudzou, go to the nearest bus station, located near the Place de la République. Take the bus heading towards Mtsamboro. Make sure to ask the driver to notify you when you reach the stop for Plage du Préfet. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop, simply follow the signs leading to the beach, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
