Car
If you are driving, start from Mamoudzou, the capital of Mayotte. Take Route Nationale 1 (RN1) heading towards Bandrele. Continue on RN1 for approximately 20 km until you reach the town of Dzaoudzi. From Dzaoudzi, turn left onto Route de Kaweni. Follow this road for about 5 km, and you will see signs for Mangrove de Kaweni. There is limited parking available near the mangrove area.

Public Transportation
To reach Mangrove de Kaweni via public transportation, take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from Mamoudzou to Dzaoudzi. The fare is approximately €1-€2. Once in Dzaoudzi, look for a local taxi or ask the driver to drop you off at Kaweni. The taxi fare from Dzaoudzi to Kaweni is about €5. From the drop-off point, you can walk to the entrance of Mangrove de Kaweni, which is about a 10-minute walk.

If you are already in the Kaweni area, you can easily reach the mangrove by walking. Head towards the coastline, and look for paths leading to the mangrove. The area is well marked, and you will find signs directing you to Mangrove de Kaweni. The walk will take around 15 minutes from the nearest residential areas.
