To reach Grande-Terre by car, start from Mamoudzou, the capital of Mayotte. Head south on Route Nationale 1 (RN1). Continue driving along this route for approximately 25 kilometers. Follow the road until you reach the ferry terminal at the southern tip of the island, where you can take a short ferry ride to Grande-Terre. The ferry ride takes about 15 minutes, and tickets cost around €5 per person. Make sure to check the ferry schedule in advance to avoid long waits.

If you prefer public transportation, start at Mamoudzou and take a local bus heading south towards the ferry terminal. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the fare is approximately €1.50.
