Walking
Begin your journey from the center of Dembeni. Head southwest on Rue des Pêcheurs towards the main road (Route Nationale). After approximately 500 meters, turn left onto Route Nationale. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers until you reach the village of Kani Kéli. Look for signs directing you to Mont Choungui. As you enter Kani Kéli, you will find the entrance to Mont Choungui on your right, marked by a sign. Follow the path leading into the forested area towards the Parking du Mont Choungui, which is your starting point for the hike.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, start at the Dembeni town square. Ride southwest on Rue des Pêcheurs for about 500 meters, then take a left onto Route Nationale. Continue cycling for roughly 2 kilometers until you reach Kani Kéli. Once in Kani Kéli, look for the signs indicating Mont Choungui. The entrance will be on your right, leading to a parking area where you can securely leave your bicycle. From here, you will begin your hike up Mont Choungui.

Though public transport options may be limited, you can inquire about local bus services that run towards Kani Kéli. Start at the main bus station in Dembeni and ask if there's a bus heading to Kani Kéli. Once you arrive in Kani Kéli, look for signs for Mont Choungui. The entrance to the hiking trail will be on your right, where you can begin your ascent to the summit.
